etec Elektrotechnik — website, careers & PV calculator

Win customers and find tradespeople: a CMS-driven website with job ads for Google Jobs and a photovoltaic calculator.

etec Elektrotechnik GmbH, Duisburg2026Visit live site

etec Elektrotechnik is a master craftsman’s business in Duisburg, Germany: electrical installation, photovoltaics, fibre optics and charging infrastructure.

The new site has two jobs: win customers and find staff. Both run through the website today — and the team has to be able to maintain both itself.

That is why the site is fully CMS-driven: services, projects and job ads sit in the backend as linked content. New positions appear on the careers page automatically, with structured data for Google Jobs. A photovoltaic calculator gives prospects a first orientation before the intro call.

Challenge

Trade businesses compete on two fronts today: for contracts and for skilled workers. Both audiences search online — and both drop off when a site is slow, hides prices or offers positions only as a PDF.

Maintenance added to that: every new position and every new reference project had to go online without a developer.

Approach

We put the site on a relational CMS: services, projects and positions are separate content types that reference each other. A position points to its area, a project to the matching service.

Job ads output JobPosting markup automatically so they appear in Google Jobs. The photovoltaic calculator runs in the browser and pre-qualifies enquiries. The team maintains everything itself — from copy to images.
