Typical Challenges
Does this sound familiar?
Payment handling built from scratch
Stripe is powerful, but fitting it to your own business logic takes development work: subscription management, invoicing, payment workflows.
No link between payments and the ERP
Incoming payments have to be booked into the ERP by hand. A Stripe-ERP integration does that automatically.

In Detail
What you get — and why it matters
For many business models, the online payment is the moment the customer decides — or drops out. A smooth checkout isn't a nice-to-have; it directly affects revenue. Stripe is the technical foundation we recommend for payment processing: no PCI audit of your own, support for SEPA direct debit in the DACH region, and an API that can handle practically any payment logic.
We don't just add Stripe as a checkout button but as a complete payment workflow. That includes: Stripe Checkout for one-off payments and shopping carts. Stripe Billing for subscriptions with automatic renewal, upgrade/downgrade logic and cancellation flows. Stripe Invoicing for automated invoicing. And Stripe Connect for marketplace models where payments are split between several parties.
Every Stripe integration is built on webhooks: payment received, failed charge, subscription cancelled — each event automatically triggers the right action in your systems. A successful payment creates an order in the ERP, updates the customer status in the CRM and sends the invoice by e-mail. A failed payment triggers an automatic reminder and escalates to your team after the third attempt.
For the DACH region we configure SEPA direct debit, Klarna, Giropay and EPS as payment methods alongside credit cards. Invoicing is GDPR-compliant, with automatic DATEV export or a connection to Lexoffice and sevDesk.
Why Stripe rather than PayPal or Klarna directly? Stripe gives you full control over the checkout flow: you decide what the payment page looks like, which fields are shown and which actions are triggered after payment. PayPal redirects your customers to an external page and gives you little influence on the user experience. Stripe Elements, on the other hand, blends seamlessly into your website — the customer doesn't notice that a third party processes the payment.
Cost comparison: Stripe charges around 1.5% + €0.25 per transaction for European cards (SEPA direct debit: a flat €0.35). Transparent and without a monthly base fee. For companies with high transaction volumes we negotiate individual terms. Compared with PayPal (2.49% + €0.35), Stripe saves money for most business models.
Typical integration scenarios: a simple checkout for services and digital products. Subscription models with automatic renewal and a customer portal. Marketplace logic with Stripe Connect, splitting payments between the platform and its providers. Invoicing with automatic DATEV export or a connection to Lexoffice/sevDesk.
Problems we solve: abandoned payments because the checkout is too complicated or slow. Manual invoicing that no longer scales as order volume grows. Subscription models managed with PayPal recurring payments — without automated dunning, without upgrade logic, without a customer portal. And regularly: companies that don't offer online payments at all for fear of PCI compliance effort and ask customers to pay by bank transfer instead.
EA Digital Solutions has built Stripe integrations for a range of business models — from simple checkout flows for services to complex subscription systems with multi-level pricing. Experience with webhooks, idempotency handling and edge cases (card changes, 3D Secure retries, proration on plan changes) means your integration is robust from day one.
